These terms govern your use of Rettel. By using the game, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the game.

The Service

Rettel is a word-chaining trivia game. You can play without an account; creating an account lets you save your streak and history, and use the Challenge feature to compete against other players.

Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
• Choose a username that isn't offensive, impersonating someone else, or infringing on someone's trademark or rights. We may remove or rename accounts that violate this, or suspend accounts used to abuse the game or other players.
• Since we don't collect an email address, there's currently no self-service password recovery. Keep your password somewhere safe.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use bots, scripts, or automation to play the game, submit entries, or interact with the Challenge feature
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Scrape or bulk-extract the game's data or content
• Use the Challenge or account features to harass another player
• Interfere with the game's normal operation

Content & Intellectual Property

The Rettel name, design, software, and curated game data are owned by us. Rettel references public figures, brands, and other trademarks solely for gameplay purposes — as explained in the site footer, we're not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by anyone or anything named in the game.

Third-Party Links

The game may show links to third-party sites, including affiliate links (see our Privacy Policy). We aren't responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party sites.

Disclaimers

Rettel is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the game will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its content (including our database of names) is fully complete or accurate. Categories, scoring, features, and availability may change at any time.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rettel and its operator aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the game.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You can stop using the game, or request account deletion, at any time.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of [Your State], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the game evolves. We'll update the date at the top when we do — continuing to use Rettel after a change means you accept the update.
